Thanks for sharing. I grew up listening to him and always admired his unique voice and style. One of my all time favorites.

    One of the best!

Here's one you my not have heard him sing before. It's on a Christmas CD we listen to while trimming the tree every year. It's felt different hearing it since his passing.

    He was a selfish quitter.

That's one way to see it.

He fought depression for at least 10 years and in the end he lost. That is another way to see it.

Great singer. Like Staley and Weiland. It's sad they're all dead.

So much of his music relates back to depression, so many songs make allusion to suicide or to wanting to be dead. It really resonated with me, I was in that head space for about 15 years.

He felt his emotions in a big way. Most of his fame came from feeling big feelings and his ability to communicate them through lyrics and voice. He was a master.

And in the end he got what he wanted. And left a lot of people hurting. Yes, it was selfish. But if you didn't see this coming, you weren't paying attention. I hope his hereafter turned out every bit as good as he hoped. The selfish bastard.

Great songwriter. Always had an unexpected chord or voicing.
