Being somewhat new to strats, what is the story behind these?
Found one local in a shop from 2014 but it’s brand new!

    played it...felt and sounded great.

are these like the Baja teles that became the vintera?

Find out the cost of it's replacement... the Vintera 60s ... and make sure the price is low enough in comparison. The Vintera should be dearer being the newer line.

Mine is the finest strat I own. I sold my MIA in favor of it, and a few others.

If you get a fair deal.. you will not regret the purchase.

MIM built models with vintage specs. IMHO they're among the best MIM built models if vintage is what you're looking for.

Typically for retail products a little comes off the price every year it sets, depending on how much the merchant wants to move it.
Also, for an older (new) product like that, watch out for a tweaked neck or some such reason others have passed it by for so long.

Are you sure it's a Classic Series, not a Classic Player 50s?

That’s what I’m thinking as well, the Shoreline Gold is the Classic Player 50’s and the FSR that year was Desert Sand.

Yep, CS never was available in that color, strictly the CP 50s.The neckplate will show that.

Classic series is basically an AVRI without nitro. Vintage specs. Classic player has some modern features

The new Player Strat @ $699 is an all-around better guitar, IMO.

I do remember the low E was not directly over the magnet pole. The strings were centered on the board pretty well, though.

is that normal on this model?
