Clear Custom Shop strat, played at the grammys

    I remember seeing these in the late 80's, before I played guitar.

    Heard Fender made a Stratocaster completely out of lucite in the late 50's (neck included) that had gold hardware (frets included) that was a display that was shown at some guitar shows.

    also this guitar must be as heavy as lead. I still think it looks cool

    Ha ha, that thing looks like an ice sculpture... it has to be heavy, like 15-17 lbs.?

    Apparently 10 lbs, give or take. I'd love one. But closer to 8.5 lbs. Might not be doable with Lucite. Pretty dense stuff.

    I bet you could get the Custom Shop to build you one, for a price. Probably a price that I am unwilling to pay.
