I've actually edited up 30 minutes of video, with caption credits for all participants now. (Fear not, all participants are still welcome; it's just that I can't do the entire production in one day, so I have to get most of it done now.)

How long will this little lot take to export and upload? Ha ha ha ha! It's all in High Definition, so many hours, I reckon. It's only just occurred to me to check YouTube's upload limit. It's actually 15 minutes by default, unless you are a verified user, which I'm glad to say I am. (Doesn't mean I'm anything special, just that YT know who to call if I upload anything 'interesting' featuring people/animals/devices etc.)

That puts the file limit at 128GB, or 12 hours, whichever kicks in first. This should be interesting... :sneaky:

Haha 12 hours! I've seen (not watched!) 8 hours plus videos on YT.
Those are mainly aimed at cats....

Man, I was hoping to be able to jump in on this one, but my weekend unfortunately did not cooperate like I had hoped! :(

Maybe next time! But I'm looking forward to it how this one turns out.

Hey! That would be cool. :)

I'll put his take right behind mine, then you'll know I'm prepared to take a hit for the team. :D

I considered it, but everyone has a name-check to go with their take, and I think it might spoil the cinematic look.

I've edited a carefully chosen selection of really nicely shot HD footage, colour-graded it so it looks 'vintage', and used classy typography throughout. Right now, it looks, and sounds, good enough to show in a movie theatre. :D

So no little avatar pics on this production, I'm afraid. You'll thank me when you see it.

Thank you for your take, which now forms part of the jolly jamboree.

If I say, we declare a deadline for contributions of midday GMT+1 (aka British Summer Time), are we all OK with that? That would be 7:00 in the morning in New York and 4:00 in the morning in Los Angeles, I believe.

I've been away a long time but certainly have missed the jams here. I thought I'd try one and sent a link, but feel free to omit. Rusty clams ain't anyone's cup of tea.
