Ahh, you must mean Rutt’s Hutt in Clifton, NJ? I grew up 5 minutes from that place, love their “rippers” ( deep fried hot dog)
Kind of close to Teterboro, but not around the corner, maybe 10 miles max.

I also love Dickie Dees in Newark, NJ Best Italian hot dogs anywhere ( big thick pita bread pocket with a dog ( or two), with mustard ketchup, peppers , onions, and fried potato!

I did mention Sriracha way back. Great stuff! Not hipster imwo. I discovered Huy Fong aka rooster sauce some 20 years ago.

There are now more available, two in particular I like a lot.

    https://underwoodranches.com/

This is where Huy Fong originally got its red jalapeños from. They got into a spat a few years back. Not sure where the rooster gets their heat from now. So Underwood created their own.

Great fresh flavor Huy Fong does not have. Chunks of fresh garlic.

The might qualify as hipster sauce: https://importfood.com/products/thai-sauces-condiments/item/sriracha-sauce-shark-brand

The real deal from the region sriracha originated. Is on the thin side. I'll need to order a bottle sooner than later. Strong, of course. :)

Ah, I missed you mentioning it. My brain likely has a blind spot for the word.

I honestly have no idea why I hate the idea of it so much. It seemed a few years ago it was the condiment of choice of the beanie wearing set so maybe that's it. I'm working through my issues so please ignore me. :D

    :)

Give it a try - really! The two I mentioned are internet orders unless you live near the stores mentioned: https://underwoodranches.com/store-locator/

Underwood is here too: https://www.sonoranspice.com/ They have other hot goodies, including some of the highest quality dried whole chilies I've found.

Shark brand seems to only be available from https://importfood.com

The Rooster is a good sauce. I've grown to like the other two more.

I've ruined many a dish with sriracha

I can't get the correct amount of heat.

It's either too hot, or too hot.

Honestly, sriracha is not part of any food group. Just lick a lit candle if you want heat or run a rasp or cheese grater on your tongue.
Did you guys know that a lot of BBQ sauces have ketchup as the main ingredient?
Mayo is food of the gods

No such thing! I add heat to the sriracha I get.

If any of you order Shark Brand, be sure to get one (or two) of these: https://importfood.com/products/thai-spices/item/extra-fine-hot-thai-chile-powder-hand-brand

Far better than any supermarket ground chile pepper powder. I'll add a bit to the Shark when it arrives. Placing an order shortly...

Sriracha is nowhere near that hot. I've tried several.

These are truly hot, without cheating with capsaicin extracts:

    https://puckerbuttpeppercompany.com/collections/sauces-1/products/gator-squeezins

    https://puckerbuttpeppercompany.com/collections/sauces-1/products/reaper-squeezins

BTW, Puckerbutt has a 20% off special through May 12.

BBQ is usually tomato based, smoke flavor to some extent, maybe brown sugar. More going on than ketchup. I modify the BBQ I get (surprise!) with the many varieties of dried chilies I have. Sometimes a bit of fruit preserves ...

    Mayo?
