I want to upgrade the pots on my Squier VM. Will BOURNS PDB241-GTR01-254A2 pots fit?

Is a Switchcraft 11W11 the correct output jack?

I use a step but to drill out the holes if they don't fit. The only part that's a trick is figuring out how to hold the jack boat. The PVC is soft and really easy to ream.

Just get metric spec pots and they will fit perfectly .

The pots arrived today. They don't fit. They are 3/8" diameter. They are also a bit longer than I expected (9.5mm). The knobs fit though.

I would have to drill 3/8" holes or get a new pickguard.

Bourne's are good pots and drill the holes to fit is easy. lay it on a scrap piece of wood for backing.

    Easy fix....

    This will work too.

60 degree drill bit tips tend to find their own center. If you don't have a drill press or mill access...C-clamp the pickguard with a piece of backing scrap to something solid and punch through with your 3/8" Black and Decker.

They came with high quality Alpha pots stock, I wouldn't change them. As you've found out, they are metric, so imperial pots won't fit.....I'd put the originals back in....

I've already ripped them out. I suppose I could put them back.
