hi
i would like to find a confortable action on my guitar
i have only a metallic ruler like this
upload_2018-9-29_11-27-12.png

i generally setup the low & high E
but i haven't others tools like the guy in this video

and seeing my neck radius is 9.5" (241 mm)

is there a way (and some tips) to have a correct heigh of the other 4 strings without the tools in the video?
thanks

Make the action comfortable for you. You don't need a ruler. Lower each saddle until a note fretted at the 20th fret doesn't make a sound, then raise it until the string sounds clearly on every fret. Repeat for the other strings. Each string will find it's own height level and follow the radius of the fretboard.

It's what you quoted above by Thrup'ny Bit. :D

I am not quite as old as he is, but I have played for a long time and for most of that, I did not get out a ruler to set up guitars. At this point, I have a straightedge for assessing necks, and I still mostly do everything by just adjusting stuff until the guitar plays, then fine adjustments after some time on the instrument.

Maybe your action will be lower, it that's not comfortable, raise it. The action on my guitars won't be the same as on @Dadocaster's. He called it "the Bit" method because I described how I set up my guitars.
