Hi there. Any custom pickups builder in Europe I'm not aware of? I own a Monty set and I find those pickups quite good but too pricy. I also have several Craig Vineham sets, and those have an exceptional quality/price ratio, but he's canadian and I'm strictly searching for european builders. Great pickups with possibly good prices. Yeah, you have The Creamery in the UK, https://www.creamery-pickups.co.uk/ Great pickups and lots of options, both for pickups and covers. They are not too expensive but since brexit you will have to pay customs and VAT if you want them shipped to Italy. They are one of the few custom pickup winders that (to my knowledge) make a very accurate version of the original Fender wide range humbucker. Then you have Lundgren pickups in Sweden https://lundgren.se/ Great pickups and priced similarly to Seymour Duncan. Both of the above are happy to wind you a completely custom set. Finally there's Amber Pickups in Germany, https://www.amberpickups.com/ Also good. I have one of the dogear P90's and it sounds good. A bit darker than most other, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in an SG Jr.
I like “Evil Sheep” pickups as I have a vintage wound set in one of my Strats and am considering ordering in another for my Rory tribute Strat. They are in the UK. YMMV
Are you sure about VAT and customs? I bought a guitar from the UK last december and I paid none of that. Maybe it's since january 2021?
Since you're canadian I strongly suggest to check out Vineham pickups... as I said, i own several Vineham sets and so far I still haven to found anything not even close to them. Very low price and boutique sound. The only downside is Craig Vineham himself is not so quick in responding and communicating, so it takes a bit of patience. I'm actually leaning towards getting yet another Vineham set, but before that I'd like to gather some info on european pickups makers here on this thread, just to have alternatives.
