Just perusing the various guitar owners clubs and couldn’t find one for Danelectro. Here are mine:

In high school, I was in a 3-piece band and needed to play both guitar and bass. I had one of these:

I've got one of these, Silvertone 1457. Pawn shop find. Got the guitar and case with the the amp and speaker removed. Doesn't bother me since I dickered it down to $275 which is a steal even with the missing amp. I love it. It's a great guitar!!

Actually i'm thinking that it's the 'tone masonite' and the lipstick tubes, LOL.

My Silvertone Dano is circa 1965. Has some interesting features.

Actual sheet copper shielding, just like this.

Micro tilt neck adjustment, way before Fender used it, and pickups are RWRP, again way before Fender.

This is the actual vintage body construction.



The seperate pieces that make up the sides, the neck pocket, the horns and the bottom were stapled together, no glue! Gluing the Masonite top and back on holds the thing together.

I don’t have one now but my first electric was a 1959 Danelectro Deluxe (three pickups and not many made. I got it in 1959 from an older neighbor kid. Also got a Dano Centurion 40W amp and Dano reverb tank with it. Had a Bigsby installed on it in 1961 or ‘62. Had the guitar until right after I graduated from high school in the spring of 1965 when I bought a new Jazzmaster.
