    just wanted to reccomend a good book for you all full of finger exercises,scales ear training etc,

    I have one of his books 'chord and scales for guitarists' it's basic theory for idiots like me, i really like it, he explains everything in simple laymans terms that actually make sense.

    yeah thats one of the reasons i like it,s idiotproof which comes in handy were i,m concerned:D

    I originally taught myself how to play and never learned any of the theory but finally am ;)

    Same here Jefro, now I find myself wanting to learn a bit more so I've started buying a few books, a set should actually arrive today from amazon.com I hope. Thanks for the recommendation hendrixfan, I think I'm going to get this book soon.
