It's not even controversial. I don't get it.
I didn't get it either.
Basically it was a thread titled: "Who is in charge of the idiots" or something like that. I replied "that would be whoever is in charge of the congress".
My post was deleted, and I got a stern talking to via PM.
So would I , but TPTB are reluctant to grant me such abilities
It's not even a question , either. "Idiots" is being nice
Have a Snickers
Ooop's sorry I will have to take that back, I'm saving that one for Thruppn'y
That's so sexy (is that a bannable post?)
Should have rejoined as BananaBoy
Been on that road... not pleasant!
Bananable post ? ... what ?! WHAT ???
You got banned? Why not Yamaha 350 getting banned? What did you do?
Popcorn emoji below a misleading (unbeknownst to me ! ) link to a story about Kap going to the Giants.
No warning, no recourse, just "adios"
The amount of stuff I don't say dwarfs the amount of stuff I do say.

TheBanPage mods will happily ban you if your views don't align with theirs. I was even banned once for laughing at someone elses comment that wasn't politically correct.
They're running a self-righteous pander fest over there and have gotten so overbearing with how they monitize their site it's a real distraction.
Oh and they'll ban you if you're too critical of Reverb.
This is an old thread but I have to agree with this one sentence wholeheartedly.
There is zero consistency in TGP moderation. A post I had made that was removed by one mod without explanation another found no problem with but would not fault the other for removing it, restore it, or even suggest an explanation.
They are a very arrogant and authoritarian bent bunch who will cater to some members they prefer while sanctioning others for similar issues most staff would not even bother with. As a result it becomes an insult ridden free for all some days.
Obvious expressions of the political leanings and "dog whistles" by some are permitted but contrary expressions by others may be sanctioned depending on the mood or perhaps the political persuasion of the staff member who views the respective posts.
I went through this and other issues with their head admin and got nowhere so I simply signed off and asked him to close my account. Over the years TDPRI has also become far less consistent in it's moderation and TalkBass is like a private club of have's and have nots to which I no longer belong as well.
I've found this forum to be far more friendly and even handed in moderation issues. Mods are human too. I've been one on three separate sports forums. There will always be some subjectivity involved with that role but it in no way excuses outright favoritism and/or discrimination based on ones personal point of view. There is no place for prejudice in moderation and those who cannot avoid it should step down.
TGP is full of jerks and pseudo-intellectuals that frankly are nothing more than sheep. Mods there are so full of crap I can smell them thru the computer.
TDPRI mods are clueless morons that don't understand that using pejorative based on someone's race is um, racist.
Umm.... Guys, you do realize.....
Ya... Different mods on these sites, but they are all under Alex's direction, and the moderators do take their direction from him.
