Can’t believe it’s been 41 years without the genius of John Lennon. RIP! I can’t help myself imagining all the songs he may have gifted us with if he hadn’t been taken from us so untimely :(

I had helped move someone from Houston up to Des Moines the prior weekend.

Before I went back to Houston I went out by the Racoon River to watch the meteor show and cop a buzz. I was laying in the bed of my pickup when I heard the news.

I've been thinking of many of his songs this week.

Watching Get Back right now and it’s really really strange watching him. The filming they did looks like it happened last week.

Yeah..I was waiting at Steve and Pam's house for Pam to cut my hair. Steve was hit hard by it. We all were, but he was particularly. One of those day you remember exactly where you were when you heard.

I was driving under Norbury railway bridge in London when I heard the awful news on the radio.

If only he had come home he'd probably still be alive today.

Like a lot of folks in the US, I was watching Monday Night Football and heard it from legendary sports announcer (in both good and bad ways) Howard Cosell. God, it was a devastating couple of weeks trying to absorb that. I’m not a huge Beatle fan, but the senselessness of it hit me really hard. I was all of 21 years old…

I grew up with The Beatles music. When I heard the news of his death I was shocked and as saddened as if he had been a member of my own family. Same with George.
To us Brits John Lennon was a national treasure. His musicianship and biting wit will not be forgotten.

Ironically, John was a crusader for World Peace... Sad day for all the world! :(

I was on duty as one of the Technical Operations Managers for The Associated Press in NYC when it happened.
You cannot imagine the scene there at 50 Rock.

I was a freshman in high school. I remember waking up in the morning and watching tv and they were talking about the Beatles on every channel, I was like "did they get back together?" then I heard the news. It was devastating. I had a teacher in my first class that day who was kinda young and she started talking about it and she broke down crying and I think we all did. John was always my favorite Beatle...to me he was the rock and roll Beatle

It was our one month wedding anniversary, I woke up to it on the old giant clock radio thingy. My new Mrs rolled over and mumbled "...I still gotta go to work...".
