Im not (i mean my mates not) a candidate as he has a couple of nice horsie pedals (Ceriatone and Wampler Tumnus) and that DemonFX SSS pedal i bought him (us)

p.s. Side note, i once posted a negative comment on a Mr Tubbs video as i felt Mr Tubbs was helping create FOMO on a certain pedal, and he was so nice in his repsonse, he made me feel about this big >< with his really gentle measured reply...truly a gentle soul. Its not often i walk back a comment ive made, but that was probably the 1st

Seeing this thread got me to bust out the dual gun. The right side is better than my TS9. I already had my TS9 set how I like it and the Dual Gun coming in all at noon with it on the glass setting just sounded and felt way better.

I’ve been just loving mine lately.. compared my OCD with it last night(at low volumes) with my Les Paul and couldn’t get a better sound out of the OCD. BUT the main thing is how this pedal (and I’m sure the real Duellist) FEEL under the fingers.. OMG I’m in love right now and I’ve had this pedal for awhile but something just clicked.. I hope it’s not a phase lol I think I’m just slowly coming to grips with the fact that this sounds and feels better than all my expensive overdrives. I’m looking at them like you can all go but at the same time looking for other cheap clones to try lol

So Very Cool! See it’s not a fluke or a con. It really compares to way more expensive pedals and surpasses most if not all of them. That’s why I made this thread and keep it going. The professionals that can afford a $400 OD pedal should buy the real thing. But most of us ain’t doing no world tours. It’s a pedal any body can afford and sound good.
The whole social economic impact isn’t lost on me either. I didn’t make this world I just live in it. And I want to sound better then the next guy! And I want my friends on this forum to sound good too!!! And it’s not expensive!!!
I kept making demos until I finally captured the true sound of the pedal. People had to hear it. I could have keep my mouth shut and made it a secret weapon but I want us all to enjoy it. Grump Old Man like me and The Young Gun Wipper Snappers too!

Yes thank you for spreading the word! I don’t have any problem buying a cheap Chinese clone, all these pedals are so overpriced to begin with and those companies are doing fine as most people want the real thing but I don’t care lol Intrigued by the King of Drive but not sure I really need it.. the dual gun covers the blues rock sound that is what I’m going for 99% of the time.

Have both and the King of Drive is a really good pedal, but the Dualgun made it pretty much obsolete. The only other drive I have on the board now is a Tone City Golden Plexi for that Marshall vibe.

That’s what I thought.. Dualgun seems more versatile… just a thought on the prices I made in my last post, the Duellist is 475$ Canadian BEFORE tax and delivery.. I would pay close to 550$ or I get the dual gun for 100$ hmmmmmmmmmm

I've seen the inside of a LYR (V1.2)and it certainly does appear to be visually the same as the Duellist. At least with the V1.2 of both. How that may have changed over time though I can't speak to. My understanding is that both the Lyr and Dualgun are from the same people/company really so I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I’ve found two people that have tried both and one said the Lyr was maybe slightly better and the other said the Dual Gun was better than the Lyr.. sounds like they are probably the exact same.

More Dual Gun stuff. Just had to post some Les Paul content. In my mind I wanted the Heavy Hand side to go with the Les Paul but I can’t switch from the right side on glass with either Les Paul or Strat.. like a tube screamer without the mid hump and all the gain you could want.
