I just recently was searching surf music on youtube and of course his name pops up in like 1000 videos about surf music. I missed this hole era being born to late. Any way post your favorite Dick Dale song here if you want. Seems like he's a really cool dude.

I think he wore out several drummers before he went. And a couple bassists.

Yes, he was. Except he demanded a very particular strumming technique. He went through a lot of accompanists that way.
He is also, as noted above, rather dead. As in not living. A change in that condition isn't expected anytime soon.

I'm a huge Dick Dale fan.

I was lucky enough to see him three times in the 90's. He was incredible each time. I'd recommend checking out "Tribal Thunder." It is still one of my 10 all-time favorite albums.

The King of Surf Guitar! Saw him a few of times when he came through. You think Stevie Ray used heavy gauge strings-check out Dick's setup:
Dale’s battle-worn gold Stratocaster, nicknamed “the Beast”, was outfitted to be played loud, as it boasted massive .016-, .018- and .020-gauge unwound strings and .039-, .049- and .060-gauge wound strings that produce tremendous tension. When on stage, Dale didn’t necessarily break strings—he practically burned through them, thanks in part to the heavy picks he used. The Beast did not have any tone controls, only a master volume and a toggle that bypassed the three-way switch to activate the neck and middle pickup only.
