Didn’t Paul Kantner from Jefferson Starship play a Fender Stratocaster?

I know he mostly played Guild Electric guitars, Guild 6 string and 12 string acoustic guitars, a Fender Precision Bass, a Rickenbacker 330 12 string and 6 string electric guitars, a deering banjo, a Gibson Les Paul, a Fender Telecaster and a Gibson ES 345 Electric guitar during his tenure in Jefferson Starship. He was also known to play Carvin Guitars, as seen in the music video for Find Your Way Back. Craig Chaquico mostly played a Gibson Les Paul, but retired it after the sessions for Winds Of Change. I have also seen Marty Balin play a Gibson dreadnought acoustic guitar and a Fender Telecaster. It would be nice to know if he played a Fender Stratocaster in Jefferson Starship and what really happened to it after he died. Considering how influential his guitar playing was, those guitars should probably be in a musical instrument museum or something like that. I own Bless It’s Pointed Little Head, Red Octopus, Spitfire and Earth on vinyl by Jefferson Starship. Please let me know.

And if you don’t know who I’m talking about, he is the red headed dude with the striped t shirt and glasses and the deep voice. Looks like John Sebastian from the Lovin’ Spoonful.

He co-founded Jefferson Airplane prior to the rebranding though did carry on with Jefferson Starship for a time, which later became Starship which he had no affiliation with.

I've seen him with Rickenbacker, Gibson, Guild, Carvin, and even B.C. Rich. I'd be surprised if he didn't own a Strat at some point, but if he ever recorded or performed with one I am not sure of.

Craig Chaquico was also a long time endorser for Carvin.

My wife grew up around the corner from the Jefferson Airplane house (as the hippies called it) in San Francisco. Also very close to Haight Ashbury. Mother-in-law still lives there.

Was never a huge fan, but I don't hate them either. That's all I got.

He was a *monster* player for a band with a mostly "pop" following.

I went to high school with his daughter China. Grace Slick used to pick her up, before she drove. Always thought that was kinda cool.

Wasn’t China also on Home Improvement? I seem to remember she was Wilson’s daughter.

She was also a VJ on MTV occasionally way back when they played music on "Music Television".

I love, love, love Jefferson Airplane.

Um... Martha is stunning out of focus.

Did not realize it then - she was a year or so older than I was. She looked younger.

Yeah, she got a fancy, black BMW she would drive to school from the VJ gig. Went to school with a bunch of rich kids, she's the only one who earned her car, herself. Tupac went on to earn some money, too but that was after High School.

Nina always reminded of the type you'd buy some weed or nose candy from at a concert in the early 80s..
