Local guy on CL has this Tele up for sale. He's stand up. I've done business with him before. He used to run a local M&P. I only say that so no one thinks he's trying to pull anything. I'm just looking for input. The headstock really caught my eye at first.

    Here's the text on it:

Fender parts guitar . Has Seymour Duncan pickups . I have included a lot of pictures come look make an offer plays nice sounds great, call or text

I’d venture to say that’s not authentic.

I’ve never seen that headstock logo on any Tele. A lot of 70s reissue types have a bullet truss adjust. And those tuners look a lot like what’s on my squier bullet Tele.

I’m not sure any part of it is Fender. Could still be a cool guitar if the price is right.

Has an odd sort of appeal. He just put a generic price on it and is inviting offers.

The neck and headstock are different too. The telecaster custom part of the logo is 1970s style, and the Fender part is 50s style.
and the tuners are modern squier style instead of vintage.

At first I thought they just swapped the Squier waterslide for a Fender, but the trees are different and the heel of the headstock on the tuner side are different as well.
