Some folks think it's a myth but I've seen one in the wild. It's the rarely seen, but never photographed Yeti Squirrel. I've seen foot prints in the snow 6 inches long at least. If you see one do not look it in the eye, they view this as an act of aggression, and rip off your (thieves) nuts and eat them. They also do have an affinity for the occasional coconut though.
You're better off feeding them your Coconuts than your nuts.
