Amps for me.
I can find happiness in a basic guitar if it plays good.
I got about 12 bucks in the whole shooting match.
Way more in guitars. Not even close.
Most in guitars then amps then pedals...
Something like that I guess
Yes but it occurred to me when carrying my pedalboard in its case last week that it was about $500 in the bag. If someone grabbed it it would have sucked a big one
i've got one guitar that has real value, my '78 Ibanez M340. - and i have no idea what its worth anymore than i can calculate the value of my orange tabby. it's alive and it likes me. we don't put money on those kinds of things... it's very bad form.
the rest are guitars i put together or flea market special acoustics... their worth is calculated in imaginary numbers for the time being.
my amp is my one and only fezzter deluxe... priceless.
ive got about $300 in pedals though...
Guitars definitely. Amps is not far behind though and at some points I may have had more in amps.
$3.75 in guitar picks .
Guitars 4 to 1 over price of amps
I'm just a bedroom player, and I haven't even plugged in either of my amps in years. I play through my iPad + computer speakers w/subwoofer, which sounds surprisingly good and gets much louder than my wife and kids allow anyway. I have no pedals, and these old amps can't be worth all that much (though one was $1,200 new nearly 20 years ago). I do own 6 guitars, 3 Ibanez and 3 partscasters, so much more is invested in them. I play 'em all at least once a week, sometimes all of them in a single afternoon.
screw you dude I want your amp
So what I am taking away from this thread is that most of us have more in guitars than amps, me included.
But, it also seems that two or three amps can give you at least as much variety in sound than multiple guitars, possibly more variety if your multiple guitars are variations of the same (like mine).
Due largely to space constrictions and the logistics of living abroad, I have only three guitars and two amps (one is a Yamaha THR- doesn't really count I suppose).
Makes me think my next purchase should probably be different style amp.
I only have four pedals and I bought those used.
One amp and two guitars. Those that pay attention know what they are!
But, I’ve had a long time to search for my tone and Im happy with it.
No more GAS,PAS or AAS for me
I have 2 amps, 1 pedal and 9 guitars (7 electric, 1 acoustic, 1 lap steel). My guitars easily out-value my amps and pedal combined!
Mine aren't worth much more.
Guitars but not by much and if one of my amps had not been left to me it would be almost even..
Guitars by far
100K in Guitars
12K in Amps
2K in pedals
1K in straps
5K in miscellaneous parts
Don't tell my wife!!!
Lots more $$ on guitars
