The rule is to name your guitar for the girl that did you wrong and broke your heart

No. To each their own but naming inanimate objects other than boats and ships annoys me. Also, the tendency to refer to objects as 'She'.

I have only eight guitars including my three basses. For some reason they all insist that I call them "Roy."

There's the strat the dot, the Gib, the burst, but only my first great guitar, a sweet '73 tele, has something approaching a name. Even my wife knows The Blonde.

Lee Anderton asked Paul Reed Smith this same question during an interview. Paul didn't answer and pushed Lee to get back to being serious. The best answer was in the comments. "Name my guitars? Why yes, I do. I named this one Paul Reed Smith"

Never named any of my musical instruments. I have different connections, and am inspired differently by each one, but havent named a single one.

OMG .... a "Chicken head" Kramer Focus lover!!
I was going to suggest you see a Psychiatrist until I recognized the "chicken heads" ..... so than it's OK that you called them your "Twins", you're too far gone to be helped by a "Shrink" ;)

I had a real early Candy Apple Focus "chicken head" but got an offer for it I couldn't refuse.

My "Pointies" (Kramer's) - a Pacer 6000 Deluxe and a Pacer 2000, both are 1988's came with factory custom Seymour-Duncans, but they are NOT twins ..... just bad "biotches". (just cause I worked for Fender doesn't mean I can't like Kramers when they were damn good still.)

NOW ..... the rest of you that give your guitars "names", go get a "F-ing" Psychiatrist, you are sick.

The last guitar I built was an Esquire , I bought the body on Ebay. The seller said it was made by splitting a 4x4 douglas fir fence post and piecing it together . I just refer to it as Doug .

I named my Les Paul gold top "goldie"... Other that that, no other guitar gets a name.
