Oh, it definitely matters to me. There’s a lot of folks who think it’s optional.
This thread is so elementary...
Tell the truth
Tell a lie
everybody knows where they came from...............................Charlton Heston of course
I believe truthfulness does matter, yet I have told some whoppers to get out of trouble....
I swear babe, I didn't notice her in that short skirt and halter top at all....
Yes you are correct. Truth for those who fall for them of which there are far too many.
Edited my statement above.
I’ll tell you one truth:
I’m a liar.
I don't believe you
You don't have to lie, to not tell the truth.
Some truths can be hurtful and cause anguish and self doubt so I will avoid telling them when I'm able.
Truthfulness has a place, and sometimes honesty is not the best policy.
It's integrity that really matters.
There is a certain religion that specifically allows lying in certain circumstances , even to the point of denying one's faith. There is even a definitive word for it. Needless to say adherents to this religion view others who have suffered persecution and death rather than denying their religious beliefs as fools.
Morality matters too.
I'm no American west gunslinger, but yeah, truthfulness matters
Indeed, integrity. "I don't give a damn about my bad reputation.".
The truth will stand when nothing else does .
Morals yes, truth no.
I don't think society's failings degrade the value of a good reputation, in fact the opposite. When there is so much BS being slung online and in social media you need to be able to discern who you can trust to tell the truth, etc.
