LOL.....Bernese Mountain Dog. Love the breed.
Here since January 28th we have had snow every day except one. First snowfall was 12” of heavy wet snow.
I can deal with the cold and some snow, but at 73 years old I sure am getting tired of shoveling it EVERY day (sometimes multiple times a day). Thursday evening it began again and snowed continuously for 30 hours. Running out of places to pile it.
better you than me.
I'm like'n it, just not that much.
I had to put the studs on spouse's subaru, in case. All four wheels. I walk with a cane. With arthritic fingers.
In case you were wondering why I said I was out of scotch in the cat mugshot thread ( https://www.strat-talk.com/threads/possibly-a-rerun-but-well-worth-it.560664/#post-4222734 )
But I'll do without until the melt. Stupid to drive in it if I don't have to.
Anybody here old enough to remember the single pane newspaper cartoon called
“There oughta be a Law”?
SWEEEEEEET! I had to turn on the a/c in the car yesterday.
You may have groceries...but, what about pinball?
And everywhere else. So what? Mask up, spread out, go for it.
Damn, that’s a lot of snow for Seattle! Doesn’t the city only have like 5 snowplows or something?
How far from Mukilteo do you live, I'm pretty hand with a floor jack and a lug wrench.
That was one thing I hated about LA, tedious, boring weather.
Yes, I am having pinball withdrawals, however a place is re-opening in Burien (Flip Flip Ding Ding) incorporating distancing, etc. I may drive down there. After the snow.
It used to snow heavy and hard here. Nowadays, this sprinkle. And winter is half over.
200 hundred miles south my friend. Thank you for the offer!
I bought one of those little dolly things at Harbor Freight and modified it to permit me to put the tire I'm installing on it, raise and rotate it so the lugs line up, and then just roll it on! This and a floor jack help tremendously.
But don't tell spouse. She has been convinced that 21 year old scotch is integral to the process of making her car functional in the event it is required.
I do not want to destroy the mystique...
I'm going to hell aren't I...?
My wife actually thinks I should buy a midrise scissor lift. I love that woman....
Here in the Hilltree neighborhood of Shoreline WA, we got about 7 inches overnight and more during the day and it's still snowing at 4:30 PM. The wind out of the south blew the snow into the carport, so our cars had an inch of snow on the windows and horizontal surfaces.
I was going to try snow driving in the Subaru Legacy. There's a church parking lot at the end of the block with no curbs or bunkers where I could go hard on the accelerator, hard on the brakes, turning, and trail-foot braking. Once I'd gone out and broomed off the cars, I decided to wait until tomorrow.
I'd planned to have my weekly jam with my sister. My sister lives about 2 miles away, but there's some serious hills in that 2 miles and her driveway is steep. The Subie would have been OK, but I'm not sure if I could kept my feet under me.
Seattle doesn't get snow every winter and usually it's only an inch or less. The hills make it interesting.

The " Coqua hau'la" like we call it?
