I HATE dst
Twice A year
It give people some peripheral action to beef about
He has been reduced to self pleasuring.....
He Amusing himself to death....
And yet a one hour shift is beyond his tolerance
And like Styx sang
I hate Standard time. The shift back from DST in October is dreadful. I don't mind going to work in the dark, but I hate coming home in the dark.
We are starting to survive A C19 pandemic
534,189 USA Dead
People want to boohoo DST
LMFAO! Good one!
Yeah but they're not mutually exclusive. We'd better not discuss the death toll in any country but changing the time twice every year won't bring any of them back, unfortunately. If it would, I'd be in favour of the change...
We tried the BST (British Standard Time GMT+1) between 1968 and 1971. It was deemed not to be desirable and we went back to GMT in the winter again after that. The EU agreed that member nations could decide for themselves, but of course...
There was a big public discussion over here a few years ago, as the general opinion was that daylight saving time should be abolished.
But then we couldn’t agree on whether to keep the summer time or the winter time, so that ended the discussion.
That sounds about right. The argument for summer time here comes from the south. The north, especially the far north of Scotland aren't so keen.
Love BST. It gives me more quality dog walking time in the evening.
Does that matter? They hibernate up there, don't they?
Aye, that's it, all for one and every man for himself...
Perhaps we should have a vote about it?
Democracy is grossly overrated.
Good grief, then the lobbyists will swarm in. When the time change bill is introduced and given only a couple of days to be read and voted on someone will add an amendment in the early morning hours of the second day.
Not having time to read the bill completely in the given time frame for the vote it's assumed that the original bill is still for time change and let's say it gets approved. Now instead of the bill that originally started out for time change the amended bill has now been approved to place an additional tax on any Fender Squier sold in Daphne Blue.
Long live democracy.
Yes, we do have some experience of that sort of thing in the UK in the last few years....
