I just googled him. Apparently he was the biggest selling artist in the US a few years ago with 22 million albums sold.

So I'm thinking: "how have I never heard of this guy?"

Then I keep reading, and see that he does Celine Dion style pop music.

That's all I need to know. Not my cuppa.

Josh Groban doesn't perform my favorite kind of music, but it was a good show. He really has a good rapport with the audience, and his "Aw shucks!" attitude makes him seem humble.

In addition to the five-person band backing him, he brought in a 20-member choir from Detroit, and a 12-piece ensemble from the local orchestra.
This kind of music is usually more tolerable live.

Your outing here reminds me of when I went to see Black Sabbath as a lad and this band named 'Van Halen' was the opening act.
