    Doom eternal unlocks today.
I downloaded it a couple of days ago even though my cpu is 0.1 GHz below minimum spec, I hope I can run it. Good way to spend time at home

I remember the original Doom, that was pretty cool and groundbreaking. I went through a game phase: Wolfenstein, Quake, Doom, that was about it. I currently do play Unreal Tournament as it came with the Unreal Game Engine. Doom is in VR now.

0.1 is nothing, ist should work just fine - besides, your GPU and its RAM is far More important anyway.
However, you can always get 0.5 GHz more from your CPU :whistling:
    What‘s your mainboard model?

Good DOOM Eternal article on Ars Technica if you're into DOOM:

    https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2020/03/doom-eternal-review-a-welcome-return-to-hell-on-earth/

I /so/ remember getting into DOOM/DOOM2 and downloading tons of wads (user-made scenarios) and making a few myself. Probably should have spent my time in something more productive (guitar? music?), but I don't really regret it. Didn't much care for DOOM3 though-- way too dark and filled with monster closets and such. I haven't tried the new Bethesda-produced ones, though I heard the previous was pretty darn good.

Dating yourself lol. My wife and I were just talking about early video games last night and I was trying to remember the name of the old Oregon Trail game. Of course being 16 years younger than I and Bulgarian she'd never heard of it.
