Well I'm going totally crazy on this. I never take out guitars from home and anyway if I do I have gig bags to do so. The problem is that I would protect my guitars from dust when they are hanging from the wall or just sitting on the rack. I would like to have something very light just to cover them and possibly something that I can easily wash when it's covered in dust just to non breathe all the dirt they collect. A cover, not a bag. Do you know something like that? Should also be very cheap because I have almost 25 guitars.

I've thought about this often, I've also looked for something that could do this. The thing is if I'm now going to cover them with something, I may as well use a gig bag , it's the same effort.

Short of putting them behind glass, which is very expensive and complex, I just dust them pretty much daily.
Dust can cause scratchy pots and switches so I've also thought about cutting correctly sized clear plastic to just cover the electronics.

Be interesting to read what other people do.

I was doing the same thing until the cases began to be dust collectors. I have my guitar rack very close to my bed so I don't want to breathe all that dust when I'm sleeping. So I tried to just wash the gig bags but it's very hard to dry them properly. If I could have just some kind of very light cotton cover which I could Just throw into the washer and dry in a good sunny day to protect all the instruments from dust and let anyway them breathe to non let them stay closed in some kind of coffin would be just perfect.

If they're in a guitar rack, throw a bed sheet over them.

I don't like the look of those.
Every time you walk past them or the wind blows they will bang against each other.

Half of the pleasure of owning guitars(apart from playing them) is watching them standing proud on the stand while u do random things at home or playing other guitars while watch them....keeping them in guitar cases feels to me like i locked them inside several vampire coffins:D.I prefer the natural relicing of the elements instead of a cemetary of ridiculous guitar cases...but then again..thats me:p.

    .

How about 1500 thread count cotton king sized pillowcases. Variety of colors and prints available. Local and online sourcing.
Soft and luxurious enough for even the most critical guitar brand. Some with satin trim.

Not a bad idea too. I can't imagine anyway a pillow case which could contain an acoustic 12 strings dreadnought, though...
