My bathroom ceiling is leaking. The roofers had several buildings to work on around here lately. I think it was Friday they was working on mine & Saturday night it was already leaking again, lol.
Thing is, it'd been about a year & a half since getting much precipitation. Now it's a bunch.

I learned to say trigonal bipyramid in chemistry class. Then I leaned that it wasn't nearly as impressive as it sounds.

    And where's liltimmy anyway?

Stick around. I think we'll be finding out

The earth used to be flat....Then Dolly Parton was born. All of a sudden , the earth got noticeably rounder.

I put a new roof on the house last year. It was from 97’ so it was time. This Summer has been so wet I can’t enjoy my pool. If it don’t rain then you need to hurry up and mow the lawn cause it hasn’t been done in weeks …. then it starts raining again…. I spend most the the evenings looking at generators that can power my house cause Hurricane season will soon be here. Actually it’s here already but the end of August and September are normally the most active months….

I saw a hill one time. Earth ain't flat. It's got hills and hollers, even some heckin' tall mountains.

I can understand if you haven't ever been outside of Kansas you might think it's flat. But fer real, y'all, some bits of the earth stick way up.

    It's really an interesting question.

Only because there are two other round things in space we can see with the naked eye and one or two more that can be seen with a cheap telescope, thousands upon thousands of photographs and videos taken by thousands and thousands of people most of whom can't doctor an image.

There's also other examples of anything that spins and erodes becoming round-ish over time.

I guess maybe the Sun and Moon could be 2 dimensionally round and no matter where you are on earth and no matter what position they are in the sky they are always facing everyone on the planet directly at all times.

I suppose everyone who's ever been in a jet and can see the curve of the Earth are just seeing things.

I guess even though we can see another planet with a telescope but can't see the other side (or the end) of an Ocean with the same telescope doesn't mean anything at all.

I hope someday this question is answered. It really keeps me up at night.

    Canada.
Can I come live up there? I've always wanted to ride a flying turtle. Elephants optional.

The «world» can have any shape you like. «Reality» is just waves of gravity in a constant flux, and we’re just correlations on an atomic level.

Nothing is true, nothing is false, cause we never really lived.

That's still round. What you meant was "if you think the earth is perfectly round..."
