Does anyone else own one of these?

I just got one and I'm having issues getting a clean signal into an amp.

I'm wondering if it's due to the 9V battery system for the sustainer PUP and if so, what can be done about it.

    Thanks for any help.

Did you try a fresh battery? Do you unplug the guitar after use?

I have one, and have had no electrical issues with it. I will say the battery has to be working - even if you are not using the Sustainer.

Unplugging will not help prevent draining the battery, the mini-toggle switch has to be set to off.

Yes, I turn off the switch when not playing. I'll test the battery, it was the brand new one that came with the guitar.

Has anyone heard of a re-wiring scheme that separates the power circuit for the sustainer pickup so that the guitar can be played normally without the need for the battery power?
