This might be his last tour, so I was hoping for a bigger show - but I know, beggars can't be choosers....

He did not play his latest single "This Has Got To Stop" from 2 weeks ago, but did play a few hits; with 1/3 of the set being acoustic versions, played seated.

Big fan, saw him years ago with Bonnie Raitt. Trying to ignore the Covid conversation and focus on the positive.
I play a few of his tunes with my pub band and they are always popular.

I’ve seen him five times but I also had a dream where I saw him again and it was super vivid and I had better seats than I’d ever had before.

Kind of a lame set list IMHO. He must be slowing down.

Sorry if I missed it, but did it say if he was touring with anyone else?

I've seen him 3 times in the past and based on that setlist, recent Youtube videos of him playing live, and the ticket prices for decent seats, I have zero desire to see him this time around... even if it may be his last.

To me, his recent playing is like he's on auto-pilot or something. I know he's had health issues. I'm actually surprised he's even touring.

I guess I'm a bit spoiled because I saw him from 16th row center seats on his From The Cradle tour in '95 and he was on fire back then. His best playing since his Cream/Derek And The Dominos days IMO. He completely floored me. His recent playing doesn't come close IMO.

If I never saw him live I might have a different view as Clapton is one of my favorite guitarists/musicians.

Father Time shows no mercy. We all get old and get past our prime.
But as music lovers we never want the musician to get old and slow down.
Sucks but that's why God created albums. Lol.

I got to see him twice, once with Roger Waters on the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour in Portland Maine in the 80s and once in 96 when my late brother worked on his 96-97 World Tour
(that's how I got his stage used guitar strings).
I don't remember much about the song list because I was having too much fun hanging out backstage during the performance. After show was great, met band members etc.

My favorite part was when we waited at the doorway by the limo and Clapton walked past me about 3 feet away. We were instructed to not talk to or approach him. To be in his presence is something I will never forget.
Thanks for all the Great Music EC.

He does have medical issues - neuropathy in his feet, which make it very painful to stand for extended periods of time.

I saw him at one of the Albert Hall gigs, he was fantastic.

My best wishes to him, he has been a profound influence on my playing.
