I think we’d need more like 3-4 amps, depending on who’s coming and where and what we play. In Brussels we had 4, I believe. Maybe even 5.

I understand, forget about jamming with non ST-Euro gang members. As for the bar, it opens for public at 20:00, so if we do it there, we will be alone, no audience whatsoever. Anyway, I'll look up local studios.

    :( ¿por que? :(

Thank you! I'll bring my amp Blackstar ID260 TVP and my guitar(s)*

    *If I get a tele soon :D

That's kind, but there's no way back from tinnitus, I'm afraid. After Euroguestock III in London, the doctor said it should settle down after a while, but the noise never went down to the level it was before. I'm telling you this because S-T is littered with players who found out the hard way what can happen if you play a high volume levels without ear protectors.

That's really sad. I'm sure there is a way back from tinnitus. I am really looking forward to meeting you Simon. Come have some beer with Stuart :D

I have mine. A bit too late. Some slight hearing loss on the left side lower mid frequencies.

How much does it cost renting a studio? I'm waiting to receiving some offers.

@Groovey I'm sorry for that Dave.. It must be difficult :( I guess we all should be careful and have ear protectors.

Oh it's no real problem. At least not right now. I didn't even notice it till @s5tuart posted an online hearing test some time ago.

Well, I can still mix tracks and edit video. :thumb:

Funnily enough, I bought a set of those Alpine protectors and put the Gold filters in. Unfortunately, they don't come with a 'turn back time' function, and I'm not convinced they're enough if the damage is already done.

I can't hear anything above 9kHz, so I'm partly 'flying on instruments' when I mix music! Last time I saw an audiologist, he basically said: "What do you expect at your age?"

My limit is around 8kHz
We don't need no stinking HF!!

I did buy some EarPeace Musician plugs and have worn them to a couple of gigs and they are amazing for my ears! I can actually hear people talking to me when the bands playing. More importantly they seem to give a MUCH better separation to the instruments too. :D
I've not worn them when I play yet, but it will be interesting.
Crazy cheap too considering what they do.

Ok lads and lasses. I have to book a trip to Hungary at the end of September/beginning of October. It's not something I'm prepared to miss (I'm hoping beyond hope that the dates don't clash!  ) so it would be REALLY helpful if we could set a date for Marbella.
    What say you?.......

I’d suggest that we postpone it to Oct 2019. It was my fault I didn’t follow up. :(

    Isn’t reserved? I remember @Malurkey started a thread for March 19.

Yes, but ... Southern Spain in March sounds nicer...maybe we could move the Netherlands a bit later, when the weather’s warmer? (says the Californian...) Just a suggestion, don’t want to cause trouble....:)
