I haven’t heard from @Omar, and in another thread he was saying something about being strapped for time.

Therefore, I’ll make the executive decision that March 9th 2019 will once again be the date for Euroguestock Leiden!

I'd like to get a UK one in if possible before Leiden - I was wondering if @s5tuart @Thrup'ny Bit @alainvey @simoncroft @stratman323 @Miller67 have any ideas on a venue? I'm thinking Octoberish?

I think if was mainly us southerners at London - is there anywhere oop narth that might be interesting?

All are welcome, of course - I'm just aware of the travelling costs for our European friends.

I'm very sorry my friends. I have been too busy. Enjoy it!

Marbella could take place in Oct 2019 or March 2020, we will discuss it later. :)

On the other hand, Sheffield isn't that far away if @Thrup'ny Bit feels up to it...

    Have guitar, will travel. :D

That's what I was thinking. And things are always cheaper up north.

It wasn't bad at all, just a little cramped due to the numbers.

Hi, it is too late to confirm definitively the dates I voted but I am sure the 2nd and 9 march are not possible for us.

...And as the dust settles in London, we can start plotting our next musical ex-Strat-vaganza!

Now I’ve overheard some rumors about folks having second thoughts about an acoustic Euroguestock (having recently acquired a DRRI or something similar). This is still negotiable, as far as I’m concerned.

The status here: I have my eye on a venue that has oodles of room, and a couch and a bar, but the lighting is such that it will be hard to see what you’re doing (or in my case, read lyrics).

Is there a list of equipment I need to ensure is there? What do I ask for?

As a fun fact: The Pilgrim Fathers lived in Leiden for about 13 years before moving to America.

[HINT] Which coincidentally means that visiting the Leiden Euroguestock would fit perfectly with a study trip on the roots of national history for our American members! [/HINT]

Well, I confess that I do rather like playing electric bass and I know a few drummers who might like to attend BUT I play acoustic too and it’s your show so I don’t want to interfere.
If it’s electric we’d need amps, drumkit, soundboard (Simon can advise on specs), mic stands and mics. And I guess lights, to see what we’re doing..;)

If you're going down the electric route, you'd really need to hire a rehearsal room that is geared up for it. Otherwise, you'll need to find something like:

    3 x guitar amps
    1 x bass amp
    1 x drum kit
1 x complete PA system with maybe three mics, mixer/amps, speakers, and ideally a few monitor speakers.

The most obvious place to go would be here, I think,: https://www.muziekhuis.nl/oefenruimtes.html

    'Unplugged' is a bit easier!

I have some acoustic tunes ready, yet electrified (hopefully/maybe could bring the THB200s by then ;)) would be equally nice.
