Again for inspiration:
This Dutch song also did quite well abroad, and reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973:
That's a great one for the set list
a huge hit in the states and still playing strong on the classic rock radio stations
Do you guys all drive?
Not when I'm drunk...
Hey @nutball73 shall we do some LZ, acoustic or electric or both?
Back in the 1980s, I interviewed Jaap Eggermont, who was the band's drummer when they were still called Golden Earrings. (He left in about 1968.) Eggermont had his own studio complex in Hilversum. He really knew his stuff. I watched him operate an SSL mixing desk while directing a bunch of session singers on a Coca Cola commercial. He wasn't just the engineer - he was singing between takes down the talkback mic the phrasing he wanted to hear until the session singers got it. I could tell that mixing desk was as familiar to him as driving a car.
Yes, sound good! I haven't attempted any with funny tunings, but it would be interesting to try. Happy to do both electric and acoustic. Someone needs to start a sheet...
I like this version...
It must be said it's one of my favourite albums. I have a thing about covers "in the Elvis style"
Weighing up 'sing' 'so lonely' 'sympathy for the devil'
Sting sings slightly above my range, so it’s not my favorite to perform.
Do we already have a new list for Leiden?
I might be able to sing So Lonely.
I'll start practicing the guitar part.
I was wailing it on the dance floor at my Christmas party last night...
Keep at it....
This was a local hit in 2005. Not sure if this went across the border...
Shall we keep the same GoogleDrive sheet for Leiden? Just add a page?
Yes, makes sense. That’s what we’ve done so far isn’t it?
The only sheet I can find is the "Mill Hill" one - is that the sheet you're talking about? if not can you share a link?
