Thinking maybe Antwerp in 2020?
At least @Siegfried91 wouldn't have the travel problems he's had!
Thank you for your kind information. I now understand the posting, and it sounds great fun. Unfortunately, as a retired individual and three girls (two in University) it’s not going to be an opportunity for me.
I’m assuming that you are the attractive young woman on the bass? It’s good to be able to put a face to the name.
I am playing bass in the Love Shack clip, yes.
Well, maybe one of these days we’ll have a Euroguestock jam in Ireland!
That would be great. Trupn’bit would love the Guinness I’m still watching the Red House video and now have more faces to match with “names”. Happy days and some great players. Now I’m going back to see whatever’s left
I'm a retired individual (well semi) with two kids in Uni. I think @simoncroft is a man of leisure these days too, and @s5tuart. On average the budget is about £50-70 (studio, beer, dinner) plus whatever travel is involved. We'll ping you when the next one starts getting organised. Maybe you can make it after all. I'm hoping @Thrup'ny Bit and @ukoldgit will make it one day too.
Sounds good but I don’t make any plans that I can’t follow up
Ireland would be amazing. Surely @nungesser can step up and find us a studio?
I'd dearly love to get to one of these things, but sadly I can't even make firm plans for tomorrow.
We understand. But, hey, we'll never stop inviting you.
That sounds close enough for me to potentially join and far away enough to do some serious practising
Boys and Girls, @Siegfried91 sent me some great handheld video and still images today. He's going to upload more videos at the end of the week. I'm going to wait until I have all of those media files before I post more finished videos, because I'd like to make them as good as they can be.
I'm only in the door but sounds like I better have a look around and see what me might come up with
Great to see you again Liam. I think Paris might be next - keep an eye for new threads soon!
wow you guy's don't mess around
Wonderful to see you as well ,, I had a blast
the sound is only mediocre from my little camera but its not to bad
Nice Job Kids!
rockin! good job!! Andrea, that's some nice singing! that kid lays down a beat! great guitar - really grabbing that Andy Summers vibe!
Yeah for that drummer!
I've really enjoyed listening to this and to the previous one!
That performance of 'So lonely' takes me back to over 30 years ago, when the (too) short-lived band of high school friends I was part of, used to play this song, sort of. This was better,-)
The quality of the recording is quite similar to the only one I have (somewhere) of our efforts back then, though.
Were you able to record the performances in Leiden other than on video?
Yes. I wasn't there, but I have most of the media files now. A fair bit was recorded by @felis on a dedicated audio recorder, and everything was recorded by @Siegfried91 on a camcorder from a fixed position above the Sound Reinforcement speakers. That's in addition to a lot of handheld footage from people's phones.
It's taking me some time to piece it all together, but there should be some great material to come very soon!
I was trying to be smart and save some recording time by switching it off and on between songs (normally I just let it run).
Switching it back on was harder than I thought , forgot to push off the 'pause' button on several songs!
