You always play with great tone, but gosh that looks complimicated!
There is a learning curve with the Mark Five, but it is infinitely tweakable. I can make mine sound like a Vox, a Marshall, and the cleans are very Fenderesque.
I wish I knew what that means...
Perhaps know isn't the correct word...
I'm short on music words(concepts)
Fun stuff, good times. I'm glad to see these vids. Thanks to all. And thanks to post production.
Actually it’s quite intuitive.
There are 3 channels, all with the same controls, just the toggle switches doing different jobs
But, like all Mesa amp a tiny tweak of any knob makes quite a difference...
I just started working my way through the thread, I couldn't help thinking that it was nice to see @nutball73 gainfully employed. Most of all , a rare sighting for my twitchers notebook. Not often seen in the wild.
Now, back to the videos....
That’s quite a guitar, isn’t it?
All crooked, just as its owner!
OK, next video. I've included a section from before the song start proper, where there's this incredible interplay between Graham – who's running through the rhythm part – and Jean-Pierre, who I though at first was playing some incredible new percussion device. If you look carefully, it's the top of the bass amp! Just shows how much the player creates the tone...
I think I know the full line-up, but I'll let someone who was in the room tell us who's on this one.
Now, I need the guidance of those of you who took part in VII. Parts of Hotel California are very good. Alas, your keyboard player started in the wrong key, and stuck with it for quite a time. Would you like me to:
1. Make sure it never sees the light of day?
2. Upload an 'edited highlights'?
3. Post the whole damn thing, warts and all?
Meanwhile, here's a track @felis identified as 'Paris Jam I'. For copyright reasons I suspect, after the 'Stairway to Heaven' fiasco last time.
Well, actually I don't know how it's called , I 'suspect' a Led Zeppelin song?
Back in Black...
I wouldn’t bother with Hotel California - I totally cocked up the solo anyway; not sure I want to be reminded of that!
I seem to notice that you’re still not applying AutoTune to my vocals!
I propose ‘edited highlights’ for everything!
I see that this thread was among the handful chosen for the Strat-Talk mailer today. Many thanks to whoever did that.
Here's a new vid.
Nice work by Marc!
And @Malurkey has a great Scottish accent for a Dutchman...
A generous assessment, given the way everyone went to the Irish Bar without telling you where they were.
That was Scottish!?
