What's your favorite finish on a Strat? I like Sunburst.
Las Vegas Gold
Transparent vintage blonde that goes to opaque on the edges. What I like to call Banana Burst.

I used to be very trad... and SB finishes were def among my favorite.. but... these days I'm more into the sparkle finishes... for whatever reason.. they float my boat the most... Aztec Gold... Frost Mettalic... Olympic Pearl... Silver flake... Lemon flake... sparkle, sparkle, sparkley flake finishes...
Sunburst, Olympic White, Blonde (non-translucent like Desert Sand Blonde) and Black.
Ok really I like pretty much all of them except for red Strats.
Aged Cherry Burst
I like that a lot, reminds me of banoffee pie!
To me a fiesta red looks the best. A lot of times I'll see a strat and think. I like that color, but I don't like the way it looks with that maple neck, or rosewood. The kind of neck you have needs to complimented the finish on the body. And with fiesta red it just looks good either way! Maple or rosewood.
I saw a classic player 60s in gold sparkle a while back, I loved it, but I just didn't have the nerve to buy it. I just don't think it was meant for a balding older guy. When I next went back and searched for it, I was told that the store had dropped the price to get shot of it. Amazing the one time I had built myself up to buy it, they sold it. Oh we'll...
Burgundy Mist. ENJOY!!!
Daphne blue and sonic blue, but the main one is shell pink
I like most of them.
That's one of the special aspects of a Strat - they look great in so many colors.
I have a black/white/maple and a 3TSB/parchment/rosewood.
And I want a..... ( fill in the blanks ), and a ....
a hint: one like Jaybone's
I just cannot fathom a Les Paul or a PRS in Surf Green w/maple FB.
Funnily enough I had an SG with maple neck and fretboard a few years ago, it was called a Rawpower SG. It was a strange combination of black body, maple fretboard, black headstock. Looked a bit like a pig in stockings and suspenders lol!
@Tone Deaf Why thanks!!!
I was going to shamelessly post Natalie, my 1976 hardtail natural also.
And I like any finish that shows nice straight grain (with the exception of Mary Kay blonde- never looked finished to me, like they started to stain it, ran low, wiped it down and sent it to be clear coated).
Part of the reason I snagged what became my first partscaster (Samick copy) was the grain.
And a pic when they sent me offset Ghost saddles by mistake. Put them on just to see if they'd work, then had to take a pic to send them proving they had sent me the wrong thing.
Funny I played a Stella in surf green with a Bigsby. Was really a nice guitar, but I wouldn't have paid the sticker price (almost 2 grand).
I seriously love that color. I have a 96 with maple and a black PG, and I went out and bought an identical guitar when I happened to spot one on ebay. The newer one has a white pictures now. That color looks great with rose wood or maple, or most PG colors.
Maybe I'm boring but a black strat with a white pickguard just looks dead cool to me.
