John Mayer, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, some Keith Urban, some Coldplay. Any singer-songwriter that's actually good and doesn't write typical cheesy pop lyrics.

There are a lot that I've never heard of. It's me, not them.

I have a piece of paper with them written down. I have some studying to do.

Another +1 for the Black Keys. They don't have a single song that I don't like.

The Demon Beat - i guess you'd call them Garage Rock. They're from West Virginia, recently did a small tour of the country.

The Killers - except I hate their latest album.

Yuck - an Indie/alternative band from the UK. They're sound is similar to some of the stuff that came from the 90s, but not the bad kind.

The Joy Formidable - my current favorite. They put on the best live show I've ever seen. An Alternative Rock band from Wales fronted by a girl who knows how to wail on a Strat. Dave Grohl loves them.

Wild Flag - a hard rocking girl band.

I plan on going to the Beale Street Music Festival in a few weeks. Lineup includes Black Keys, Alice In Chains, Gary Clark Jr., Jerry Lee Lewis and many, many more. Hope I can catch some up-and-coming acts there. Always a party.

I left the TV on and woke up a few ago to Norah Jones on Storytellers.

She's good. Has multiple instrument ability. A sweet voice. Good showmanship.

And she has a good beat and is easy to dance to. And easy on the eyes and ears.

Don't ask me why I left the toob on. Your guess is as good as mine.
