Wampler Pantheon set low pushed by a Rockett Archer. Been my go to lately. good tones.
Get the Waza Craft Blues Driver.
Spend the money and get a BK Butler Tube Driver.
Not for lower volume use.
Have you heard of the volume knob?
BD-2 if your setup doesn't have scooped mids or if you don't want a mid boost. Some sort of tube screamer if it does or you do want a mid boost.
My BD-2 is generally always-on for blues or rock, with the gain set to about 10 o'clock for a slight crunch. This works very well for my apartment-friendly amp settings.
Pair a J Rockett Archer with a tweed circuit, and magic appears. Great for blues.
ummm you care to explain this?
It is a killer set up for blues.
prove that wrong?
The least expensive one available on reverb right now is $4500. I’ve used my special mind reading powers to know that’s not what the OP had in mind.
so that makes for bad blues tone?
if you think that, you need a reality check on mind reading ability.
I have had this box a long time, and did not pay anything close to that.
My comments are about tone.
Not value judgement.
I don’t know why I’m giving you oxygen, but the OP didn’t ask what sounds nice, he asked about buying something.
“wanting an OD that doesn’t take to much away from the natural sound of the amp.”
exacty the what the klon does…
best go reread what the op actually wrote mind reader!
LovePedal Les Luis.
Get yourself a Wampler Tumnus and call it a day. Spoiler alert just fast forward to the end..Tumnus beat out a Klon in blind fold test because it sounds almost identical and cost $200.
I used 2 Tubescreamers for years when I was gigging full time
Here- this is exactly what you need. You’re welcome.
Bargain! I'll take two thank you
I think you're making the right choice if that's what you are aiming for, especially since you've owned one before.
