Diane Coffee is a guy. His first albums were kind of 60s psychedelia with some noise, but wonderful. His new album is so-called pop, but to me it's way more compelling than the pop I hear on the radio. It's more synth based.
Two of my favorites:
Susan Tedeschi - she could sing the ingredients off a soup can and I'd believe it was the most beautiful and soulful words I'd ever heard.
Who’s James Dewar?
Robin trower’s original singer / bass player.
A beautiful, powerful voice. So soulfull
Robin Trower's bassist/vocalist for his first 4 (I think) solo albums. Bridge of Sighs for example.
One of his finest moments imho.
I thinking folks who that's what they do specifically, not that & play guitar, etc. But that's cool.
Otherwise I'm going with John and Paul. Or maybe Poe.
Tons of great singers have been mentioned. I'm surprised Elton hasn't been yet. I'm still trying to think of my favorite...
Man, I've thought of so many more, I don't think there is room to post them all. But I have to add
I forgot his name, but the original singer for Aerosmith who did "I want to know what love is"
On a less metal note, John Lennon
Pretty sure that was Foreigner.
Yep. Lou Gramm.
Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish)
Yusuf Islam ( Cat Stevens )
Harold Lloyd Jenkins
