The on Touch Me , stronger then dirt
This is one of my all-time fetish movies. I loved the performances, the soundtrack, and the cinematography. It suffered upon US release because the Leone edit was butchered so the events could be viewed in chronological order. This was considered less "difficult" for the US viewer. Imagine if someone had done that to say, Pulp Fiction, just as an example. Also, multiplex owners make more money if they get those two evening showings in, so they prefer movies to be under two hours. Some people are philosophically opposed to a movie lasting more than 120 minutes as well, as if anything worth saying can be said in less than that time. Some people just do not like sitting that long. I'm old enough to remember going to movies before the complete take over of the multiplex, and the rise of home video. If a movie was particularly long, there would be an intermission, so you could relieve yourself, go back to the snack bar, and find your seat again.
TRIVIA: If you watch The Book of Eli, in one scene, Ray Stevenson is whistling "Cockeye's Song" from the Once Upon a Time in America Soundtrack.
The original and first Rocky movie. He loses but yet he wins.
Is that The Unforgiven, with Burt Lancaster, or Unforgiven, with Clint Eastwood? Unforgiven is another of my favorites. I thought it was "meh" at first, but it grew on me, then grew even more the more I watched it.
Sorry for any confusion - I meant Unforgiven with Clint Eastwood. Takes a while to get to the end...but DAMN!
That was pretty messed up! Good pick!
I’m with @Oldboy. Doctor Strangelove.
This movie should be a requirement for citizenship
Love the scene where Brimley loses it
"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."
Maybe not my favorite, but up there.
