My Partcaster has a sunburst Highway 1 body. I was wondering how thick the finish is. It seems pretty thin to me, but I want other opinions. Have any of y'all had any experience relic'ing or wearing one out through playing? And if so, how long it'll take to wear through the finish.

I found this pic online which is supposed to be a relic'ed Highway 1 body.

I have a 2006 Hwy1 Telecaster with the so-called "Low gloss, satin lacquer" finish that "allows the wood to breathe" and, while it doesn't appear to be particularly thick, there is very little wear showing on mine (although I have to admit it doesn't get played on a regular basis either).

all you have to do is not wash your hands, play it a lot, sweat on it a lot in the same places over and over, and bang it into things
