I couldn’t resist when I saw a stack of these stickers up for grabs at one of my local breweries, it’s a damn tasty brew too.
My apologies if anyone was expecting to see some crazy badass DEVASTATOR strat. All I can do is show what's in the case, an ‘09 American Standard hss with a push/push vol knob split for the bucker. She devastates well enough for my lowly needs alright! Fun guitar.
Thanks guys! She’s one for the Blizzard Pearl threads. It’s a crazy color. Depending on the light, sometimes it looks like a plain Jane silver, sometimes it’s a beaming light pearlized silver, and sometimes it’s kind of a gold-ish amber kind of vibe. I’m sure most pearl finishes change like that, but it’s really bizarre how different it looks in different light.
If Fender releases their 3,547th new model this week, and calls it a Devastator, then you'll need Parry Mason, if Ozzy is done with him yet.
I agree. Here are a couple of photos of the real thing being hoisted post mountain bike ride yesterday. The brewery is Wasatch Brewing, named after our local mountain range here above Salt Lake City. It’s hard to see without a can or bottle in a your hand, but that red-eyed ram in flames is erupting out from in between the Utah state capitol building and the Mormon temple in Salt Lake. That helps explain the text on the back of the can, which I think is priceless. Oh, and I was wrong, it’s not 9%, it’s 8% A.B.V.
