Effective March 20, 2020, the Fender.com Forums have closed.
We would like to thank the thousands of users who participated actively in the Fender.com Forums since their inception over twelve years ago. These forums were a lively place for discussion for many years ... but with the continued growth of social media and other new ways to connect digitally, we are now at a point where we need to refocus our resources elsewhere.

We invite you to visit Fender.com and shop Fender guitars, basses, amplifiers, audio equipment, accessories, apparel and more. And don't miss Fender Play, our complete app for learning to play acoustic and electric guitar, bass and ukulele.

You can also follow Fender on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or YouTube.

Probably cost cutting. Those other social media outlets mentioned are free for them to use.

I thought it was short notice, I went there only a few days ago, I didn't see anything to suggest it was closing. Oh well, life goes on.

Can you return that amp still? It's been discontinued and replaced. I don't think Fender cares about heritage HW when it comes to SW/FW updates.

There are still the sections at the bottom for downloads but the forum has gone away faster than a packet of loo roll!

Yah, good luck with that. Fender backs out of everything.
They abandoned "Fuse" support as they were still selling amps that use Fuse (and still are).
I believe we did get about one weeks notice on the Forum closure.
I don't do Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any of that other social media so I said good-bye to Fender. Told the other long time members I'd see them here or at the Sister Sites listed below. I like Forums.
Everyone can treat different situations in different ways...me personally; I have 20 registered Fender products that I'll never get rid of, but I won't be buying any more. Fender has completely (in my mind and the minds of others on the Fender forums) abandoned Customer Service and Customer Support, so I'm abandoning them.
Building products that they know will require support...and then telling folks AFTER they pay good hard earned money for the product "you're on your own" is pretty crappy.

I still have my Mustang 3 but this is one reason why I bought a Vox amp instead of the GT amps.

That's the nature of software-based products. A good company will support them for a reasonable amount of time and perhaps Fender didn't even meet that threshold (I wouldn't know), but buying anything where you require software support and expect it to last as long as a '64 Princeton is naive. To expect support to last as long as an iPhone should be realistic, but it sounds like maybe not. And even that's not very long from many guitarists' perspective.

What got a lot of people wound up the wrong way was Fender telling the forum Fuse was still supported and selling brand new amps, then pulling the plug and leaving people not being able to run the software after having their amps only a few months.
