Fender posted it in the Admin/Announcements Forum a week in advance, but the last post date did not appear to update on the Forum Index page. I am sure a lot of people missed it.

I did not contribute much over the past 10 years, but I would stop by for the information that was there from time to time. I probably only saw it as I had posted some stuff there on my 2020 Fenders.

If everything goes the same way, as it increasingly is, somewhere down the road there’ll be no classics to use.

I don't think that will be the case, I love modeling tech, but I believe valves /valve amps will be around for a long time to come!

Yes! In fact you can download the new 3.0 firmware and the new Tone 3.0 app right now. I did last night and I have to say that it has totally brought new life to my GT40. Great new amps and an overall better sound. I was up half the night playing with my Like New amp and was back at it with a cup of coffee at 6:30 this morning.

Agree, but what I meant was, the classics we have now will not be replaced with ‘new’ classics.

Not surprising at all. Given the economic situation facing businesses world-wide, Fender will be one of MANY companies deciding to "refocus" their resources.

This may be a premonition for other forums as well.
Not sure the current owner loves this as much as the old one.:D

I thought it was one person typing.. "Fender is still actively continuing to support the Fuse software, we are looking into problems that are still arising".:p:p:p:p

    Big congrats!

When you make adjustments on the amp does the app show those changes? During Anderton's demo, it appeared that the communication was only from the app device to the amp and not also the other direction. If that's true, seems like an unfortunate design compromise to me. I'm still intrigued by the new GTX amps even if I hate the top/rear mounted controls.

I recently got a ToneMaster Twin for my brother and it sounds glorious. i.e. nobody can beat Fender at the Fender tone game. IMO.

I disagree. I bought a new hand-wired 5f2a clone last year and am saving up for a 5e3. I think these sorts of things will always be accessible.

The ToneMaster series will keep the Classics alive. :sneaky:

I would have thought they would have put out an E mail to all its users notifying them of there shutting the site down. So it goes

I just tried this on my GT40 and the controls in the app move in real time as you turn the knobs on the amp - very cool!

Also - I already have my eye on a Tone Master Deluxe, but that is more than a year away. The GT40 will keep me busy until then.
