Not a big surprise. Maybe the price fixing with "secondary ticketing sites" (aka ticket touts) will also be sorted eventually? I hope I live long enough to see that.

The time woud be better spent going after supermarkets and their cartels.

Since it appears that the merger of Sainsburys & Asda is going to be allowed, there doesn't seem to be much chance of that happening. Great news for shareholders in Sainsburys, bad news for consumers.

Why, is it a known problem? It looks like another example of premature publication to me. Evidence first please...

Premature publication is an embarrassing problem.

How might one distinguish between price fixing and price standardization in foreign market by a manufacturer?

Presumably that is what the Competition and Markets Authority will be investigating.

So essentially these are the same things, just overly inflated prices define them as price fixing???

Nobody knows, because the newspaper article merely flings poop, which will now stick in (some) people's minds and the real facts may never be released.

More smoke and mirrors.. nab a few small fish while the real sharks like Google are sliding out of the back door owing billions in taxes.. with the Inland Revenue in hot pursuit admitting they're too big to jail... or should I say... give a stiff talking too.... as you Americans apparently say.. "a nothing burger".. :thumbd:

    Please don't make assumptions.

When conducting investigations, the CMA has the power to apply to court for a 'section 28 warrant’ to enter and search a business premises for evidence if there are reasonable grounds to suspect that such evidence would be concealed, tampered with or destroyed if it was requested through normal procedures.

Otherwise, they have to be invited.

I assumed you were just taking a typical, unjustified, low shot at the private business of a foreign country.
