My son and I recorded this. I have always been in awe of fighter jets and their sheer power. This is my best attempt at an instrumental to paint a sonic picture of them.

Used the Strat in my avatar and a 60's Airline 9013 amp for the rhythm, no pedals on that but delay. 66 Princeton Reverb with an OCD and Carbon Copy for the lead.

That was awesome. What scale were you playing on the fast leads?

Nice. I kept getting influences of Yes and Asia in my mind. I like it!

I don't know for sure as I play by ear. But, I think it is E harmonic minor on the first but I am bastardizing a lot of stuff and breaking scale rules and chords as well. The second fast instrumental changes the scale 3x, starts out in D major, A major, and ends in E major.

That's quiet a compliment, thank you! It took a couple of weeks of work. Labor of love though. My son is playing drums. He's 17. Pretty proud of him!

I did, nearly 5 years ago. We (ATC) were offered a tour of one of the munitions training areas. I have a ton of various pictures and videos, but I know for sure that these ones are safe to post online. :D

Pretty awesome! I had an acquaintance that got rather close to a Stealth Bomber once before he was escorted another way.

Thursday afternoon we got to see The Blue Angels do a fly-over in my town. They banked around three times before heading off. It was an impressive sight and sound.

My favourite airplane is the design predecessor to the F/A-18, the T-38/F-5.

Pretty cool. Since you live in Upland, do you ever get over to Grissom RAFB when they have the TBirds? I grew up in IN (East of Elkhart), and my brother and I liked to go down there when they had the open houses and the TBirds flew. Back when they were flying the T-38s, almost had a too memorable air show, and the #3 tried really hard to stuff his airplane into the ground on a 2-3 rolling reversal. I don’t know how many in the crowd knew he wasn’t supposed to be recovering 5 ft off the deck.

Upland would be a good place for a day trip to the AF Museum over at Wright Patterson in Dayton. If memory serves, they have the remaining XB-70 there. Not a fighter, but a Mach 3+ bomber has to be respected.

The girl I was dating in HS and the first year of university went to school in Upland. Then I met my wife....

Back to your music. I did enjoy it.

    Sounds great...love it....

I am so blessed to live very near Luke AFB and I love watching them fly....they now have the F-35's...awesome jets....and sometimes when they are so low and in a turn, you can see the pilot...

Luke is a training base, so they pretty much fly non stop all day and sometimes at night which is cool....

Righteous track! Needs more flanger ;)

There was a naval airbase near me in Weymouth, it got decommissioned a few years back, bunch of condos on it now. My parents say they had used to see an F-18 over their house every weekend, damn shame. BRING BACK THE F-14.
