Nice lookin strat! Congrats!
Handsome Devil. ..
I had to sell most of my gear this year bc wife lost her job and I had a pay reduction We’ve all been there!
that’s a great guitar! Do you like the pickups?
Enjoy your new guitar.
beautiful man! Love that fingerboard
Agreed: the fingerboard looks great!
Congratulations, she looks amazing! I’m happy you achieved your goal. Enjoy!
Hey! Nice to read your story! I feel close!
I had always dreamed about having a real Fender Stratocaster since I was a kid. At a certain point I only got a cheap copy (the one in my avatar). Later I was able to afford a PRS Strat (EG4 bolt-on) for ridiculous money (I was working for the importer of the time) but I stopped playing in a band after a while. Like you said, I had other responsibilities. As a family man I didn't think about playing in a band again but at a certain point I lost my job and saw no future. I should have sold the PRS for mere money. Instead someone proposed me to join their cover band and I did! I sold the PRS and finally bought a Classic 50s MIM Strat. Now playing guitar has come back into my life, I have another job, still I can afford to have only one guitar. Other priorities... but we all keep rocking on!
Welcome to Strat-talk!
Hi @misanthrope222001 welcome to the forum (I think I can still say it despite the 4 years ;D)
Clementine is just gorgeous (and the name is so right). FWIW I don't think Pau Ferro makes a difference to rosewood tonally. Aesthetically, yes, but the fretboard on your guitar is really beautiful.
Enjoy! I am looking forward to seeing/hearing some samples of you playing!
I don't often like Pau Ferro, but I really like that one. Lots of character! That's a guitar you can keep forever.
My Player Tele had a ring on the G string behind the nut. I replaced the 2 string tree with a 3 string tree and it never happened again.
Me too! Been playing since 1985 and just picked up my first Strat, which also means the first time working with single coils.
your new Strat looks awesome! congrats! I love the finish and the pau ferro fretboard looks amzing. I've heard people murmer about pau ferro but I don't understand why... just not what they're used to?
Congratulations! Like any new guitar, it will need a few adjustments over time. Enjoy the moment. I’m happy for you!
Congratulations..beautiful Stratocaster. Enjoy it. It's the last guitar you will ever need.
Congratulations! Good luck and enjoy!
It looks lovely. PF has plenty of character, for me it works well with the burst. Now play her everyday and she'll just get better and better. These guitars last a lifetime with good treatment and they do become necessary companions over time... You can never be bored with a Strat glinting at you in the corner of the room!
That is a great feeling when you put it on and touch the neck and strings!
Congrats on the guitar. It took me 33 years of playing to get my first Strat in 2015. I don't have that one anymore but I do have two others.
