Just read this. I've only been here a short time but have come to appreciate your honesty and humor. I hope you can get this thing done, and soon. Don't put it off any longer than you have to. I'll be pulling for you...and praying too. Rock on.

as soon as i find a doc that my gut approves of. my gut is never wrong. ive learned to listen to it over my stupid brain or wishy washy heart. it has ALWAYS been right. i would have made a great detective.

Right on! Glad the insurance came through!

Just take it easy and remember your Robinson Jeffers- "He is strong and pain is worse to the strong. Incapacity is worse."

I'm just a message away if you ever feel like talking about nothing while you recover.

Just seeing this now...wow, what a story at how you've beaten those odds for so long.

Happy that you got the insurance you need to get this taken care of. Continue that pigheaded stubbornness. You'll get through this.

I somehow missed this. Glad you are getting things sorted out. Best wishes to you on this. You're one of the greats here.

Good vibes, thoughts, prayers and all that Jazz...

One thing I was wondering. Are you saying you were just approved for SSDI. Because you need to be on that for 2 years before you qualify for Medicare A&B. There are a few exceptions but they are few and far between.
Hopefully they will get you straightened out.
You also might qualify for a State sponsored health insurance program also.

Friend of mine just had that done. He went with the pig valve because he’s a drinker and it was better. Apparently you can hear the artificial valve. Also I’ve been taking Eliquis for years and it’s no big deal. You’re on the right track. All prayers and good fortune for you.

At least you will be back payed from the time you first applied. One other thing, make sure you open anything you see coming from the Social security admin from day one until the day your planted in the ground(hopefully many years from now). They like to send out questionnaires every few years(some simple and some not so simple) just to make sure your still around. How often will depend upon your disability status.

you were right. i talked to the people today and i have to wait 24 months from the time i was approved to get the insurance.
maybe this valve will hold out that long. maybe it wont.
im good with it either way.

One night I was running east in an 18 wheeler on I-10 in heavy fog maybe 2:30 AM ?
A radio preacher man said - "We are all just a heartbeat away from heaven or hell" .
For some reason that stuck with me .
