Your Dad is a good guy
Sweet, in every sense of the word!
Wow, I'm at a loss for words!! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome story! Awesome work Pop!
Good to see a guy honor his parents and vice versa.
This was my first guitar. 1986 USA Peavey Falcon. My dad got it for me used when I was 12. Great guitar that I kept well into my 20s. When I graduated high school he bought me a nice suit and gave me $500 because I wanted an acoustic guitar. But he said “don’t go out and buy a $500 acoustic.” So I saved a bit and got a Taylor 410ce. I was glad I took his advice.
I think one way to describe it is if a Strat goes up to 10, the Silver Sky goes to 11. It kinda hits another gear where the Fender is already at top speed, sonically speaking.
Wow, so cool! That guitar will only be more special, in years to come. Great story
jdanalam, I love reading stories like this. You are definitely a blessed man to have such a giving dad, and your mom must be a sweetheart, too.
Enjoy this new PRS gift that will always trigger fond memories of your dad, and put a smile on your face.
Love this story! I would love to try a Silver Sky.
Way to go Dad!
Cool story, thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for sharing that! It was awesome to read! Good on both of you for being a good father and a good son! Cheers!
That is a priceless guitar there! Congrats!!

Having been on both sides of this story over the years I can confirm that your old man got more out this trade than you did...

Very cool. Nice to have a Silver Sky; great to have a Dad like that.
