Just wanted to share with you fine Strat nuts that I did a first rehearsal with a new band-to-be last night.
I hadn't been in a band since my early twenties, so I was quite stressed.

It's a guitarist friend who offered to do a cover band for Rolling Stones songs, and I jumped on the occasion to get to play again.
We'll be hooking up with a drummer next week, and a bass player should be with us shortly too.

A first for me: I'll be singing. Heavy rain forecast for the foreseeable future!
It's quite a challenge for me, the more so as I'm also playing Ronnie Wood stuff on the guitar. It's all to the best of whatever ability I may have, but I'm quite intent on practicing and getting better at both.

I'll post news on our progress as it comes along!

Excellent!! Have fun, and let us know how it all goes!

We will be auditioning a new drummer as soon as the studio we practice in hires a new sound tech... I'm so rusty. Looking forward to practicing regularly with the group again, so I hope this drummer works out. In the meantime, like you, I'm going to the woodshed to sand off all the rust. .

    Rock on!

We're practicing at Music Live studio in Montrouge. Looks like that have good rehearsal rooms there, and there was a tech to help us get up and running.

    Cool!
I'm out in Maisons-Laffitte and the tiny (but cheap) studio is run by the city.
You should come to the next ST jam in Paris! It'll be in the 14e near Denfert-Rochereau, so not far from you at all. Tentative date - 16 November. Lots of fun, no egos.
