Thomann just published new Epiphones: https://www.thomann.de/it/epiphone_chitarre_elettriche.html?oa=rel These guitars are incredibly beautiful to me. LP Custom has Ebony fretboard. All the SGs are beautiful. Prices? Non cheap. Maybe a little bit too much. What do you think? Actually I'm pretty sure that Epiphone wants to make me poor.
Oh my I saw your banner line And MY dark little heart jumped for joy... then I looked down N saw... Italy Oh well Nowhere near Nevada County California... So I mumbled to myself Patience foolish old person... Soon enough they will come...
Honestly I hope new ones are made in Indonesia like 2019 ones and not in China like older ones. If they're made in China like they did years ago... the price is totally fool.
Oh, I'm pretty sure that you will have these guitars in America way sooner than us in Italy and, maybe, a little cheaper. Anyway usually I buy my guitars from Germany because there is no shop here where I live where I can find what I want and anyway even if I'm able to prices are way way higher.
Seems that many of the new models has CTS pots and 50's wiring for 50's Les Pauls. Anyway Epiphone always had full size pots and even if cheap chinese ones they were good quality.
They don't seem awefully expensive and I can't see what country of manufacture has to do with anything... Nice looking guitars!
These Epi SGs are $129 (and 8% back rewards); probably clearing them out before the new models roll in. I've done setups on a few of these, and they are China made. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/epiphone-limited-edition-sg-special-i-electric-guitar
I’ve been browsing them myself. Some of those models will feature C shaped necks. We’ll see have to see if there still thick, sticky and glossy though. On looks alone I almost creamed my jeans when I saw that purple Les Paul. That red sparkle looks good too. This might be the year I buy a les Paul. (May Leo have mercy on my soul).
I love the back and side view photos of that model. Nevermind... apparently the site was acting slow when I tried to see the photos. They're showing up correctly now. Before they were just a blurry blob.
The only Epi I am waiting on currently is the Emily Wolfe Signature model. Seeing as this is the first prototype, not sure how long that wait will be.
Think cheap Chinese guitar. After leveling the frets, they did play good; but the pickups were flat sounding. One had a wire off the switch (easy fix). Pots were loosy goosy and would click into full output. Bridge saddles are non adjustable for intonation, you have to move the entire bridge with a set screw. Probably worth $129 but certainly not $200.
