Here's a link to photos I took when I upgraded the pickguard and tremolo back cover. The originals had faded, and I had some stickers on there, so when I took the stickers off, they were outlined permanently, so I thought I'd swap 'em out. Anyway, it shows the '90 Strat Plus disassembled, and put back together:

    Enjoy!

Thanks! That's a nice pickguard update. I like the naturally aged plastics, glad you kept those. I wish I'd thought to use spoons to gently lift knobs off before I scratched an old pickguard with a screwdriver. Now I use one, or if necessary two, thin guitar picks to lift a knob right off. Anyway, your photography is really nice, you document things very well and really show off the lovely guitars!

    It's a beauty.
Curious though, no more micro tilt on the ultra?

I like them just fine. I play through a L'il Dawg (a Champ clone tube amp), and a Tone Master Deluxe Reverb, and they sound great through either. My other Strat (a Strat Plus) has always had noiseless pickups, too (Fender Lace Sensor 'gold' pickups), so it's not much different, really. I really like them.

I normally don't get envious of others stuff :D but this gets pretty darn close:thumb:. Congratulations, good catch!

That modern "D" neck profile is the most comfortable playing neck I've ever experienced. It is absolutely perfect for my hands, so I'm now a huge fan. And after a quick setup (action adjustment and intonation), it plays beautifully. Definitely my new number one.

That's correct - due to the offset screws holding the neck combined with the body contour at the neck joint, there is no micro-tilt adjustment available on the Ultra or Ultra Luxe series guitars.

Fender's official designation is "Plasma Red Burst."
